EZ flow bench

Postby Extreme2000 » Fri May 28, 2010 1:40 pm

I'm looking at purchasing it next month, but want to get the vacuum source
and the counter built. What vacuum motors do you recommend? I don't
really want to use a shop vac, unless absolutely necessary. The common heads
will be Trick Flow, AFR's and Dart. I'm also planning on a CNC plate made
for me to slide the head across the table to switch between cylinders quickly-
do you have any thoughts/concerns on this?

Thanks!

www.grainger.com has several to choose from.

SuperFlow has been using these for years:

Grainger Part No. 4M903
Ametek Part No. 115923
120 VAC, 10.8 Max Amps
100 CFM at 28 inches
122 CFM thru 2 inch orifice
100.4 inch H2O in sealed chamber
Overall height: 6.2 inch
Diameter: 5.7 inch

You will need 1 blower for each 50-70 CFM you need at 28" water, each drawing about 10 amps. For a 400 CFM head at 28", that means 6 motors minimum.

I'm also planning on a CNC plate made for me to slide the head across the table to switch between cylinders quickly- do you have any thoughts/concerns on this?

What you're describing is the "Brzezinski Slider" Click on link below:
