1)  Photo Gallery  We've added some new pages to the website, where you can post "pics of your ride".  What we're looking for are pics of your car, motorcycle, engine, engine dyno, etc.  But what we also want is an Engine Analyzer, Drag Racing Analyzer, Suspension Analyzer data file for your engine or vehicle.  This way other website viewers can not only see what you're doing, but can learn how you did it with your data file.

In future updates of our programs, we will be including the ability to store picture files with the engine and vehicle data.  With your permission, your Mustang, Camaro, V-Tec Honda pic and specs may be included in these updates.  Then other racers and engine builders can use your data file as a good starting point.  If you want, we can even include your email address so they can contact you.

Click on Our Customers (or Support), then Photo Gallery (or just click here) to check out our Photo Gallery.  Don't worry about making a mistake posting a file, as you can just email the webmaster with a request if something doesn't work out like you planned.

Kevin at Performance Trends put pics of his 1968 Mustang 390 GT on the gallery so you can see how this works.

Tips:

Before you upload your data file, rename it with a ".txt" extension, as only text type data files are accepted, with ".txt" extensions.

Keep your picture files small in size, less than 100K if possible.  Acceptable picture file formats are JPG, BMP and Tif.

2)  Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show, Dec 6-8  It's not too early to start thinking about attending the worlds largest "hardcore" motorsports trade show, the PRI show in Orlando, Florida. This is the only trade show we attend because it's the biggest and best. We'll be in booth 1151-1153. Stop by and see what new things we have for 2008. You must make reservations to attend, so call PRI at 949-499-5413 in California to make them.

-------------------------------------------

3)  Message Board/Discussion Forum on Website  Last month we mentioned our new Message Board on the website, where you can share your experiences, data files, and questions with other users of our products.  You can also ask us questions directly, and we can post responses for others to see.  It also has a search feature, so you can locate answers to questions other users may have asked.

The board includes several topics, about half dealing with Performance Trends products and the other half for general Engine Building and Racing discussion.

Click here to visit it, register as a user and post your questions or comments.  We also have links to the Message Board at the top of our home page, and under the Support and Our Customers drop down menu topics.

-------------------------------------------

4)  Christmas Shopping   It's not to early to think of putting a racing or engine building tool on your Christmas List.  From the Compression Ratio Calculator at $29.95 (shown below), up to the Cam Test Stand (shown below), Valve Spring Tester, or Black Box II Dyno data logger, we've got something for every budget.

-------------------------------------------

5)  New Lower Prices on Practice Tree Accessories  We've just lowered the price on several drag racing Practice Tree accessories, like the Hand Switch with Com Port Connector (PT-HSCC, now $40).    The biggest price reduction is on the Sportsman Package (Practice Tree program with breakout cable for 2 switches, and your choice of 2 hand switches, 2 foot switches or 1 hand and 1 foot switch).  This used to be priced at $149.95 and has now been dropped to $119.95.  Click here to see all prices.  Click here to check out the program, accessories or download a demo.  This would make a great "stocking stuffer" for Christmas.

-------------------------------------------

6)  New Demo Movie Files  We've added some more demo movie files to the website:  2 for our Valve Spring Tester, Basic and Advanced Operation (shown below), and 2 for our Compression Ratio Calculator (shown above).  Click on Support, then Demo Movie Files (or click here) to jump to our Demo Movie page to watch these movies, and several others about our products.  Even if you don't the program covered by a demo movie, you can still learn a lot about your program by watching movies, because so many of the features work the same in all our programs.

-------------------------------------------

7)  Many times customers will ask about what are the additional features in, say the Engine Analyzer Plus or Pro over the standard Engine Analyzer.  Well, we've now put together 2 comparison tables, comparing the various features of the Engine Analyzer programs, and our Suspension Analysis programs.  Click here for the Engine Analyzer Comparison Table;  Click here for the Comparison Table for the Roll Center Calculator vs the Circle Track Analyzer (shown below) vs the Suspension Analyzer.

-------------------------------------------

8)    Hewitt Racing and Manufacturing in Bristow, Iowa can supply a complete "turn key" dyno system (and training) for karting engine builders.  They can also supply flywheels and mechanical components if you want to "do it yourself":  Standard or custom flywheels, axles, one-way clutches, torsion shock systems, bearings, and more, sizes from 1.25" and up, including 40 mm.  They've got the experience, having done 96 dynos in 26 states.

They can ship individual parts, or the complete system, ready to go, with R&L trucking, so it can be unloaded in your front yard.  Contact them at 641-775-3395, or 641-552-3395 (cell) or hewitts@netins.net with your specific needs, and they will fax or email a quote, including freight.

Hewitts have been using our original, 4 channel DataMite, and now our Black Box II system for their dynos to do torque, HP, RPM, weather corrections, accel times, Head temp, and more.
