for more details on our Shock Dyno Retro-Fit Kit software and hardware.

2)  We just shipped our first PROTOTYPE dyno controller for a water brake dyno.  We're walking before running here, where this first controller will just let you control the dyno load via an electronic control valve, and then when you press F1 (or the hand held Start button), the control will close (or open) the water valve at a controlled rate.  When the preset Max RPM is encountered, the water valve is opened fully to apply full load to bring down the engine.

3)  Fuel Economy Calculator for $4/gallon Gas  With gas close to $4.00 per gallon, you want to get every Mile out of each Gallon.  You may want to check out our Fuel Economy Calculator.  It is the only program we know of which lets you try vehicle, driving, and some engine mods to get the best cruising fuel economy.  For example, it can answer the following types of questions:

  1. How much will my MPG improve if I install a .70 ratio overdrive on my 68 Camaro with 4.11 gears?
  2. How much fuel economy will I likely loose if I go from a stock converter to a 4000 RPM stall converter on my 1988 Mustang 5.0L?
  3. How much will my MPG drop if I have to drive 70 MPH into a 20 MPH headwind?  How about if I drop down to 60 MPH?
  4. On a 100 mile trip which starts at 700 ft elevation and ends up at 1700 ft elevation, how much does just the 1000 ft elevation change reduce my MPG?

If you have one of our Engine Analyzer v3.4 programs (std or Plus) or Engine Analyzer Pro v3.9, it will link up with them so you can see how more detailed engine mods will affect your MPG.
