1) Cam Analyzer v4.3 Updates We've added some updated features to the Cam Analyzer v4.3 released in October 2018. These updated features include:
- In "Export as Cam Dr..." under File, the Cam Grinder version now has the option of "Cam Checker" as a file format. This lets you send files to our Cam Checker for comparing cams you test with Cam Checker to detailed cam profiles measured with our Cam Test Stand or imported from other sources.
- Added Cam Layout for "Ford 1.6L 4 cyl pushrod Kent" to the list of Example Layouts provided with the program.
- Added new 'Look for New Adobe Acrobat Reader' button to Preferences to look for an Adobe Acrobat Reader file for displaying PDF help files, like the User's Manual. This can be handy if the program can not find Acrobat Reader itself.
- Now if you ask for graphs of "Absolute Lift" (including base circle offset), but you did not measure the cam with Absolute Lift, the program uses the Base Circle entry in Virtual Follower screen as the base circle. Cam Grinder version only.
- We've added a new Preference to check for 'bumps' created during a Virtual Follower conversion. This Preference under the Calculations tab is for 'Fix 'Bumps' from Virtual Follower Conversion'. Occasionally "bumps" can occur during the Virtual Follower simulation. (Typically we only see these errors when importing files from measurement systems that are NOT our Cam Test Stand.) If the program senses this has happened, it will produce an Intro Help screen to explain what your options are.

If you own v4.3, this is a free update, as are all v4.3 enhancements and bug fixes. Just download and install the latest v4.3 from our website right over the top of your existing version If you have Win 10, restart your computer and go directly to link below. Win 10 may not always allow you to update your program if you have run the program since you last restarted your computer.

This is not critical, but when asked, select to do a Refresh installation instead of a Complete (typical) installation. This will keep all your settings and unlock info. Click on Help (at the top of the main screen), and then select About... The new version number (written in blue) should now be 4.3 A.007 or later.

The "Make a Wish" team is one of the drag racing teams using our Automatic Valve Spring Tester. It lets you test up to about 2500 lbs with air pressure up to 130 psi. Teams are also finding it's a fast and accurate way to measure their clutch springs.
